1. Cleaning and Grading Section
Nuts collected from individual farmers may contain various impurities such as stone, mud balls, dry leaves, twig and cloths which affects the quality of end product, and poses a threat to the machine in the production line. Using the cleaning and grading section can effectively removes the impurities in the flow of nuts, reduces wearing to the equipment and improve the quality of end product.
There is another problem to solve before shelling. The nuts are different in size. If they are shelled together, broken rate will be high. The solution to this is grading before shelling. Shelling of nuts of similar size in the same grade will minimize the broken rate.
2. Shelling and Separating Section
The shelling and separating section is applied for the shelling of graded nuts and the separating of mixture of the shelled and not shelled nuts.
After shelling, it comes in a mixture of kernel, shell and partially shelled not shelled, thus has to be separated to get the clean kernel. Vibratory sifter is used to remove the fine waste; shells are sucked away by the air screener and collected into the cyclone. Not shelled nuts are separated from the kernel as they move along the separating sieve, and carried back to the elevator for reflow.
